This self-portrait was painted on a “fake canvas” I found on the street (hence the random white spots). I was trying to go more abstract with the colors and shapes. But it ended up more representational. Part of me likes the 2nd siting that was more loose and abstract, and another part of me feels that the 4th sitting does look more finished. My goal is to find a happy balance in my new work.
