I worked on this painting on my ipad originally. I use the ipad to do a study, for colors and learning the person’s face and figure. I find that the oil painting comes out even better with this process. I seem to get the proportions and shapes much better in the 2D painting. This one is almost done, some more work needs to be done on the flesh tones and hair. But I’m loving how the lighting looks on her back.
